Q: What other camps have the Bliss and Wisdom Foundation sponsored? A: We have hosted the Bliss and Wisdom Educational Camp in Taiwan and in the U.S: For over ten years, the Bliss and Wisdom Foundation has annually hosted various large scale retreats in Taiwan with over a thousand attendees and over 4000 applicants. The camps have influenced the lives of numerous university students, globally improving the education sector, and shedding hopeful lights on the business community. In the past four years, the Bliss and Wisdom Foundation in the United States have sponsored the newly formed educational camp in Los Angeles with diverse attendees who have different backgrounds and from across the North American continent.
Q: Why is the camp at such a low price?
A: Our purpose of the retreat is not for profit making, but rather to give the best to the public and to reach out to help as many people as possible. Our goal is to bring awareness on matters that are relevant to all of us, but often are neglected. There are too many suffering people out there. What we really want is for the camp participants to benefit and spread their caring forward to others. This event is made possible with the help of many Bliss and Wisdom volunteers. They devote countless hours in helping others, and through the process, they benefit themselves, learn, and grow spiritually together.
Q: Is this a religious/Buddhist camp?
A: NO, this is not a religious camp; however there will be a Buddhist Reverend present to share his perspectives on the truth of life. We are a Buddhist organization but the purpose of the camp is to focus on improving ourselves and living a better life. There are no religious classes in our program; no chanting, prostration, or sutra recitation. In the past years, many students with different religious backgrounds have joined our camp and they liked it very much and have referred friends to come. If you are interested in learning Buddhism, we do have other Buddhist classes that you can attend.
